The morning preparations unfolded in Rome, surrounded by close friends — laughter, anticipation, champagne, and quiet in-between moments. Some of these were captured on film, adding a tactile softness and timeless depth that only analog photography can create. The grain, the tones, the unpredictability — film allows certain emotions to breathe differently.
The outdoor ceremony took place in the villa’s garden beneath an imposing tree, bathed in natural daylight. It felt intimate and suspended in time, with Rome gently framing the scene. Dinner followed inside the extraordinary baroque hall. The reception design by wedding planner and designer Sara Tusset was a true masterpiece: a magnificent tablescape in burgundy tones enriched with seasonal flowers and autumn fruits, beautifully executed by Sartoria Floreale. The layering of textures, candlelight, and fruit created a painterly, almost Flemish still-life atmosphere.
One of my favorite details was the three-tier wedding cake, adorned with autumn fruits — sculptural, refined, perfectly cohesive with the overall aesthetic.
Throughout the day, I moved between an editorial eye and a documentary sensibility — blending structured compositions with spontaneous, unfiltered moments. Digital and film photography intertwined to create a narrative that feels both contemporary and timeless.
